Are You Insulin Resistant If You Have Type 2 Diabetes

What causes insulin resistance in the first place? Obesity, particularly too much fat in the abdomen and around the organs, known as visceral fat, is thought to be a major cause of insulin resistance, according to experts. Insulin resistance is connected to a waist measurement of 40 inches or more for men and 35 inches or more for women.

Is it true that coffee causes insulin resistance? Caffeine has been shown to reduce insulin sensitivity. That suggests your cells aren’t as responsive to the hormone as they once were. After you eat or drink, they don’t take as much sugar from your blood. As a result, your body produces more insulin, resulting in greater insulin levels after meals.

Is insulin resistance ever reversible? Insulin is necessary if you have or have had gestational diabetes.

A friend of mine told me about a supplement and claimed that it helped him lower his fasting blood sugar count by 8 points and that his energy level was up also. I figured what the hell, I’d try it. I didn’t really see much in results at first but after about 3 weeks my fasting sugar count started to inch down and my energy levels were starting to rise. Now after 2 months of steady use my fasting sugar count is down a solid 12 points. My diet is a little better than my friends so I figure that might be the difference between his results and mine. I now have ordered a bottle of Liver Cleanse to add to the mix. I’ll post more when I’ve used it for a couple of months.

All I know is after taking this product for 6 months my A1C dropped from 6.8 (that I struggled to get that low) to 5.7 without a struggle. By that I mean I watched my diet but also had a few ooops days with an occasional cheat and shocked my Dr with my A1C test. Since then I have also had finger checks that average out to 117-120. I’m still careful but also thankful my numbers are so good!
